# Wordpress

> You can use Wordpress to add Litlyx Analytics tracking code to your website within seconds.

## Pre-Requisites

Before proceeding, ensure you:

## 1. Initialize

After activation, go to the `Litlyx Analytics` tab in the WordPress admin menu.

## 2. Obtain your workspace ID

Create a workspace on [Litlyx Cloud](https://dashboard.litlyx.com/)  and retrieve your workspace ID.

## 3. Setup the plugin

Under the voice `Instance type`, select `Default`. Enter your `workspace ID` in the Litlyx settings to start tracking analytics immediately.

## 4 Setup your custom events

To track custom events:

1. Assign a CSS class to any element on your website.
2. Open the Litlyx plugin tab in your WordPress dashboard.
3. Enter the CSS class, assign an event name, and optionally add metadata.

## 5. Your turn now!

That's it! Now you can go to your website and verify Litlyx Analytics script has been added and go to your dashboard to see whether the data are being tracked.
